PV Training for Students in Tanzania
Expertise in the pv sector not only creates future-proof and crisis-resistant jobs but also enables a local, reliable, and sustainable energy supply. Nikko aims to contribute to this and therefore organizes and finances an annual pv training at a school of the Viennese NGO "Africa Amini Alama" in Tanzania. In the 8-week course, aspiring engineers learn to plan, install, maintain, and repair pv systems. As part of the training, Nikko also constructs one or more systems on-site together with the participants.
The financing of the project is provided by Nikko Photovoltaik GmbH. The training on-site is conducted by employees of Nikko Engineering GmbH in collaboration with students from UAS Technikum Wien. Together with our local partner Africa Amini Alama (AAA), we continuously design and improve the course. The long-standing experience of AAA and the existing infrastructure provide ideal conditions for long-term planning and investment in the program.
