Nikko Engineering GmbH takes the protection of personal data very seriously. Compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act is therefore a matter of course for us. Since the trust and satisfaction of our users/customers is our greatest asset, personal data is only collected to the extent necessary and is never sold or passed on to third parties unless you have expressly given your consent.
We will inform you about the data collected and stored by us as well as your rights to information, correction, deletion and objection. For this purpose, we have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the data protection regulations are observed both by us and by external third parties as our service providers.
The following statement gives you an overview of how we guarantee this protection and what type of personal data is collected for what purpose.
Security of your personal data
Personal data is information about your identity, such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. Nikko Engineering GmbH and our IT service providers are committed to ensuring that the personal information you provide on our servers is kept in a controlled, secure environment and protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. The server location of our IT service provider is in the EU (Germany). However, as no electronic data transmission is absolutely secure, we would like to point out that despite our high standards, information that you transmit via the Internet may be used by others. Therefore, we cannot accept any responsibility or liability for the disclosure of information due to errors in data transmission and/or unauthorized access by third parties.
Use and disclosure of data
Nikko Engineering GmbH will of course treat your data confidentially. As a matter of principle, we therefore do not make your data available to third parties unless you have given your express consent. If you have given your consent, we also collect, store and process personal information for the purposes of individual information and support. If we are obliged to do so by law or by court order, we will only pass on your data to state institutions and authorities entitled to receive such information.
Our newsletter
With the newsletter we inform you about news. If you would like to receive the newsletter, we require a valid e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided or that the owner agrees to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected. This data is only used for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties. When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address and the date of registration. This storage serves solely as proof in the event that a third party misuses an e-mail address and registers to receive the newsletter without the knowledge of the authorized person. You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time. The revocation can be made via a link in the newsletters themselves or by sending a message to our team at welcome@nikko-engineering.at (see also Use and disclosure of data).
Cookies
This website does not store any tracking cookies. When the contact form is loaded, a technically necessary cookie is set on your device without further inquiry (name of the cookie: “c”, content of the cookie “1”). We use this cookie to make it more difficult to misuse the forms; tracking does not take place via this cookie. Most browsers have an option to restrict or completely prevent the storage of cookies. However, it should be noted that the use and in particular the ease of use are restricted without cookies.
IP addresses
In order to detect, prevent and investigate attacks on our website, IP addresses are stored in log files with a time stamp and the URL accessed for a short period of time. Log files in which visitors' IP addresses are stored are automatically deleted after 30 days at the latest.
Integration of third-party services and content
Third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, Matomo tracking code from matomo.nikko-engineering.at, etc. and graphics from other websites may be integrated into this online offering. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) are aware of the IP address of the user, because without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We endeavor to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. However, we have no influence on whether the third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Insofar as we are aware of this, we will inform users accordingly.
Cloudflare
To make the misuse of online forms more difficult, in some cases a check may be carried out via “Cloudflare Turnstile” after the form data has been sent. For this purpose, Turnstile evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, time spent on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data is forwarded to Cloudflare. The provider is Cloudflare Inc. from San Francisco, USA. You can find more information here: https://www.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-scc/
YouTube
For data protection reasons, we use the so-called 2-click solution. Only when you click on a video play button will a connection to the YouTube server be established and your IP address transmitted to the third-party provider. You can prevent this by not clicking on a video play button. YouTube is a service provided by Google LLC Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. You can find Google's privacy policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en
Matomo
For data protection reasons, we use an installation of the open source software Matomo on the subdomain matomo.nikko-engineering.at for website analysis (usage statistics). IP anonymization is of course activated and the server location is in the EU. Cookies are only stored with your consent.
